The Administration team is a small one with only three staff comprised of the Permanent Secretary, the Office Manager (vacant), and an Administrative Assistant.
This section oversees and co-ordinates long range planning within the Ministry and ensure that policy directives are carried out effectively and efficiently. The office also ensures that clear lines of communication are maintained between the Ministry and the Departments so that the Minister can receive feedback from all areas of the Ministry.
The diversity of the Transport Ministry is apparent when one considers the types of activities underway in Civil Aviation, Airport Operations, Marine & Ports, Department of Maritime Administration, Transport Control Department and the Public Transportation Board.
The Administrative team is responsible for coordinating the Ministry’s legislative programme, assisting the Minister in developing strategies on various initiatives and handling procedural matters which fall outside the realm of specific Departments.
